As is indicated in the Amarillo College catalog, the Associate in Arts degree is awarded upon the completion of a curriculum which has been designed to parallel the first two years of a four-year college or university program. This degree enables you to transfer your work at AC toward a Bachelor of Arts degree at the institution of your choice.
The Major Code for this degree is 1050. Overall, you will need a total of 62 credit hours to complete the program, depending upon how you satisfy the requirements.
You must take 42 credit hours to satisfy the Core Curriculum Requirements indicated on page 34 of the Catalog. Electives make up the remaining 20.

other courses based on the university to which they plan to transfer.
